WELCOME!

Thanks for checking out Cru at the University of St. Thomas. Established on campus in 1999 by a handful of UST students, Cru continues to be a Christian resource to students of varied faith traditions. Cru offers Tommies a variety of activities and opportunities designed to help develop character, leadership, faith conviction, and an overall satisfaction in Jesus Christ and the Gospel message.  We are affiliated with the international ministry of Cru, and operate as a part of a movement of campus ministries across the Twin Cities, the United States, and around the world!
We are a caring community of students, passionate about connecting people with Jesus Christ. Our goal is to encourage spiritual formation and life-change through presenting the person and message of Jesus Christ to the campus in a way that is both relevant and compelling.
We offer many opportunities to get involved, including Bible studies, retreats, conferences, volunteer opportunities, social events, and summer venues both in the U.S. and abroad. So, whether you want to explore the claims of Jesus Christ, further your relationship with Him, or help make Him known around the globe, Cru exists at St. Thomas for you!

EVENTS:

Here’s a few of the main things this year...

Weekly Gatherings at UST

We meet for about an hour every Wednesday night at 9:00pm in the Koch Commons Fireside Room. Our gatherings consist of opportunities to worship, meet other UST students, hear and discuss relevant Biblical topics, and find out about other upcoming CRU opportunities.

Bible Studies

We are offering several men’s and women’s Bible studies on campus. Schedules will vary, so hopefully one will meet your needs.

Fall Retreat (Oct. 7th-9th)

Every fall we join other Cru movements from all over the Twin Cities for an annual fall retreat. This is a great way to really get to know Cru and make lasting friendships. More info and registration can be found here.

Spring Break

The Big Break conference is a national Campus Crusade for Christ student conference in Panama City Beach, Florida. Besides a great excuse to get to the beach, Big Break is an excellent opportunity to grow in your faith, and get practical experience sharing it with others. Big Break is a Spring Break with purpose!

What do you want to do?

What do you want CRU to look like? We’ve got a lot of plans in the works, but we’re excited to hear from you as well! Some other things we’re looking at right now...

  1. Community Dinners

  2. Social justice awareness events

  3. Volunteering

  4. 24/7 Prayer Room

  5. Executive and Entrepreneurial Leadership Forum

  6. Overseas Ministry trips

  7. Spring Break Trip to Panama City Beach (Big Break)

  8. Social Events

We need students who are excited to give leadership to some of these events and opportunities!

Summer Projects

We know it seems like a long way away, but it would be a crime if we didn’t mention Summer Projects. They are simply one of the best things we offer students. We’ll be talking more about them throughout the year.

BIBLE STUDIES:

Small-group Bible studies are an excellent place to connect with others on campus who are pursuing God, or are simply curious about what it means to follow Jesus.
